Author Guidelines

General formatting

  • Article(s) should be submitted in an electronic format MS word (version: 2003/2007). Article(s) must be in A4, Times New Roman, Font size: 12, the Line spacing of 1.5 and margin 1 inch for all sides.
  • Place biographical information (name, professional title in lower case, employer(s), city, and state) below the article title. If the authors are from several institutions, furnish details for all authors. At the bottom insert the full postal address (including designation, phone, email) of the corresponding author. It shall contain the full title of the article, names of all authors, institution concerned.
  • If the authors belong to several institutions, furnish details for all authors.
  • With the exception of page numbers, you need not include headers or footers.
  • The general article should depict an abstract of 200-250 words with minimum six keywords followed by Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion and Conclusion. The text should not exceed 2000 words, including References (preferably MLA method).
  • All illustrations, figures, and tables should be placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • Where available, URLs for the references and biographical statement have been provided.

Proofing

Reviewed and corrected articles sent to authors before publication. After which no alteration or corrections will be entertained.

Copy Right

A Copyright Transfer Agreement is required before the publication of an article in our Journal. The submission of a paper implies the author’s assurance that it has not been copyrighted, published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

Types of article

Shanlax International Journal of Education publish general articles, case reports, short communications and review papers. Only original unpublished manuscripts may be accepted for the review process. Manuscripts should be written in English and sent to the Editor.

You can make use of this list to carry out a final check of your submission before you send it to the journal for review. Please check the relevant section in this Guide for Authors for more details.

Ensure that the following items are present:

  • E-mail address
  • Full postal address

All necessary files have been uploaded:

Manuscript:

  • Include keywords
  • All figures (include relevant captions)
  • All tables (including titles, description, footnotes)
  • Ensure all figure and table citations in the text match the files provided
  • Indicate clearly if color should be used for any figures in print

Graphical Abstracts / Highlights files (where applicable)
Supplemental files (where applicable)

Further considerations

  • Manuscript has been 'spell checked' and 'grammar checked'
  • All references mentioned in the Reference List are cited in the text, and vice versa
  • Permission has been obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sources (including the Internet)
  • A competing interests statement is provided, even if the authors have no competing interests to declare
  • Journal policies detailed in this guide have been reviewed
  • Referee suggestions and contact details provided, based on journal requirements
