Abstract

The novels of Perumal Murugan bring out, in fine detail, the caste dominance and untouchability-related problems of the regional society of Tiruchengode. The economic and social hardships of the marginalized people are portrayed in depth. This article records the way of life of the Kongu region and its social discriminations.
