Abstract

The central theme of contemporary creative literature is drawn directly from human life. Short story literature, in particular, maintains a close connection with human experiences. In the twentieth century, the freedom struggle produced figures of great moral and social significance, among whom Mahatma Gandhi can be highlighted as the guiding hero. His contributions to the freedom movement were monumental, and he became the central figure in many literary creations. Whether in poetry, short stories, or novels, Gandhi and Gandhian ideals were prominently represented. In this context, the present study aims to explore the trends and characteristics of Gandhian short stories that have emerged in this century.
