Abstract

The lives of people should be founded upon love, gratitude, and compassion. One should strive to live as virtuous, capable, and morally upright individuals, leading a noble life. Moreover, the Tamil people have sought to serve as an example to the world by embodying these principles.

To this end, poets have composed various ethical texts (Neethi Noolgal) that convey moral principles. The aim of this study is to examine how these texts demonstrate and reinforce the strength of virtue.
