Abstract

This article offers a critical overview of Sivakami’s literary exploration of body politics, caste issues, gender roles, sexual morality, cultural components, and the complex experiences of marginalized communities such as Aravanis in Tamil society. Sivakami’s novels and poems interrogate the intersections of body and mind, the oppressive structures of caste and patriarchy, and the construction of gender and sexual ethics. Through her nuanced portrayal of love, marriage, family, and social constraints, Sivakami’s works illuminate how cultural narratives, social practices, and power relations shape women’s bodies and lives. The article also analyzes her approaches to plot, thematic substance, and character development, highlighting the revolutionary aspects of her storytelling and literary technique.
