Abstract

This study explores the scientific truths embedded in the religious and ritual practices of Tamils. The Tamil community’s beliefs and customs are closely intertwined with nature, the cosmos, social structures, and spiritual life. Through analysis of textual, observational, and experiential sources, the study highlights the rational and empirical foundations underlying these traditions. It examines astronomical, environmental, and psychological elements reflected in Tamil rituals, emphasizing the integration of science with cultural practices. The findings provide insights into how ancient Tamil religious practices encode environmental knowledge, social ethics, and natural phenomena.
