Abstract

This study explores the feelings of powerlessness, emotional struggles, and social challenges reflected in the life and works of Andal. Using literary analysis and interpretive methods, the research examines Andal’s childhood experiences, societal expectations, and spiritual expressions, highlighting how her personal emotions intersect with broader cultural norms. The study also considers the linguistic, poetic, and devotional aspects of her writings, providing insight into her inner emotional world. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of women’s psychological experiences in classical Tamil literature and the interplay between personal feelings and social structures.
