AI Policy
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy
ComFin Research upholds high standards of academic integrity and responsible research practices. Authors must ensure that all submitted manuscripts are their original intellectual work. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools must be transparent, ethical, and properly declared.
Authors are required to clearly disclose the use of any AI tools (such as text generation, language editing, data analysis, image generation, or other automated assistance) in the preparation of their manuscript. A declaration statement specifying the nature and extent of AI usage must be included at the end of the article before submission. AI tools cannot be listed as authors, as they do not meet authorship criteria.
The journal does not prohibit limited and responsible use of AI for language improvement, formatting assistance, or technical support. However, AI must not be used to generate substantial portions of original research content, analysis, interpretations, or conclusions without proper human intellectual contribution and oversight.
As part of the editorial screening process, submitted manuscripts are evaluated using AI-detection tools, including Turnitin (iThenticate). Normally, the journal allows up to 20% AI-generated content, provided it does not compromise originality, critical thinking, or academic contribution.
The editorial decision is not based solely on AI detection scores. Even if the AI percentage is within acceptable limits, the editorial team will conduct further scrutiny. If any misuse, misrepresentation, undisclosed AI usage, fabricated data, or unethical reliance on AI is identified, the manuscript will be rejected immediately.
If undisclosed or unethical AI-generated content is discovered after publication, ComFin Research reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, or formal retraction of the article in accordance with international publishing ethics standards.
This policy ensures transparency, originality, and responsible integration of AI tools while maintaining the academic credibility and integrity of the journal.
