Abstract

Despite the vital necessity of life insurance in securing an individual’s financial stability, the level of insurance penetration in the rural setting is very low because of several factors including lack of awareness, difficulty in accessing insurance services, and lack of trust in insurance providers. This study will examine strategies of promoting life insurance products among rural customers through assessing the effects of factors such as financial literacy, insurance awareness, trust in insurance companies, insurance accessibility, and utilization of digital platforms in the insurance sector. Through the use of a mixed method design, the paper aims at using both quantitative and qualitative techniques to gather information on the problem. This will involve carrying out a survey targeting individuals living in rural areas and conducting interviews with relevant stakeholders. Through the findings of this research, recommendations will be drawn regarding the need for localized distribution networks, financial education campaigns, and government intervention policies. Moreover, the study will also explore the importance of digital technologies in expanding insurance in the rural setting.
