Abstract

Globally, in 2010, the expenditure on media and entertainment reached ₹63 lakh crore. According to a global study conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) from 2011 to 2015, the spending on media for entertainment purposes is projected to increase to ₹86 lakh crore. The advertising sector ranks among the top ten highest revenue-generating industries worldwide.

Within advertising, entertainment, cinema, digital advertising, and video games, animation has shown substantial growth. Companies like Reliance and Tata are expanding the market value for the animation sector due to its increasing contribution across these industries.
