ஆண்டாள் பிரியதர்ஷினிநாவல்களில் தொழில் சார்ந்தபெண்களின் வர்க்கச் சிந்தனைகள்
Abstract
This research paper examines the class consciousness of working women as portrayed in the novels of Andal Priyadarshini. It highlights how employment plays a crucial role in shaping women’s identity, autonomy, and social status. The study explores how female characters in these novels achieve economic independence and challenge traditional gender roles within family and society. Through their participation in the workforce, women develop awareness of their rights, assert their individuality, and resist patriarchal constraints. The novels reflect the transformation of women from dependent individuals to self-reliant agents who actively engage in shaping their own lives. This paper also emphasizes that employment not only provides financial stability but also fosters class awareness among women, enabling them to recognize their position in society and strive for equality. Thus, Andal Priyadarshini’s works significantly contribute to understanding the intersection of gender, labor, and class consciousness.
