Abstract

Women’s rights have long been suppressed under patriarchal structures. Modern Tamil poetry plays a crucial role in voicing resistance, creating awareness, and advocating for gender equality. This paper examines how Tamil poets highlight women’s struggles, identity, dignity, and liberation. It also explores how poetry challenges traditional norms and promotes education, empowerment, and social justice for women.
