Abstract

The entire Ramayana emphasizes the need to follow Dharma and live righteously and emphasizes the strength of family ties, especially brotherly affection. The life of SitaRama shows that husband and wife should understand each other and live on the basis of Dharma. Through Vali we can realize that peace and liberation in life can be achieved by complete surrender to God and that God can be reached through devotional paths such as hearing, chanting and contemplating the name of Rama
